Manning, 29, expects to earn $12 more an hour as an LVN than as a certified nursing assistant at Compass Health Inc., which owns six of San Luis Obispo County’s nine nursing homes.

“I’ll be able to do things with my kids that I’ve never been able to do,” Manning said.

Compass donated $157,000 to Cuesta to start the LVN program last year. The program is specifically designed for certified nursing assistants, or CNAs, who want to become nurses.

THIs is just wonderful! The agency that runs the nursing homes there supplied the money to get these CNA's trained to become LVN's. That's just the way it's suppose to be ;) Good for them!:yelclap:
