CA BRN License surrender and use of other state license

I am just beginning probation in CA for my RN license for a DUI in 2022. I also hold a full active license in the state of NC. NC did not place me on probation, and they only wrote a letter of concern. I still have a full and active license there. I am considering surrendering my license in CA due to financial struggles and moving to only use my NC license. I have been told that NC may require me to complete my probation in their state. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Often when you're monitoring in one state another state let's the monitoring state take over. I'm guessing it's extremely likely North Carolina will then take over. California is the worst. Maybe North Carolina will be easier
