I gave my three week notice today to my supervisor, no longer able to tolerate the stress where I work. A hateful response from a doctor who I had asked to review a case was the LAST straw, and I am leaving with no new job lined up to go to. Right now I could care less, if I lose everthing I have..at least it's better than losing what little sanity I have left.... :stone

So sorry that you are so frustrated. Have you considered ER case management? Its more fun.

So sorry you had to deal with all that. I can understand, my ADON pushed me so far the other day walking out almost sounded good. I may be moving to another state so I'm trying to maintain my sanity, and this job, until I know for sure. I know I won't be working at this place for too much longer. Good luck in the job search, I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding a new, and hopefully better, place to work.

I'm so sorry for your situation. I'm not sure what area of nursing you worked in but you could try doctor's offices (they have good hours! No weekends or holidays..) or teach nursing or cna classes until you find a job you really like and they appreciate the work that you do. Just a thought. Take care. (hug)

:stone So sorry to hear that. But let me congratulate you on the other hand for being brave, standing up for yourself and putting your sanity and dignity first. I wish you the best of luck from the bottom of my heart. You will see that you will find something better. Things don't happen just because. They happen for a reason and maybe a door closed today but 3 will open tomorrow.:)
God Bless you,
Jessica

Let me tell you, it took a LOT of courage for me to do what I did yesterday. I was almost physically sick by the time I asked my supervisor to meet with me, and when I handed her my resignation letter, we both started crying. She did not try to talk me out of leaving, but was very supportive, telling me too that I had to do what was best for me, both physically and emotionally and even offered to give me a reference. By the time I got to work this morning, many of my current and former coworkers had heard the news and either called, came by my department or stopped me in the hallway to give me hugs and to offer their best wishes. I even got e-mails from two of our medical directors telling me how sorry they were that I was leaving, and to wish me well. That made me feel better knowing that so many people care about me...more than I ever imagined.
