Hello everyone-
I am currently a pre-nursing major at my university. However, the nursing school at my university is very competitive with the average GPA to get accepted is a 4.0. Not even a quarter of the applicants get accepted. While the nursing school at my university is ranked to be very prestigious (Top 3% nursing schools in the country) does that even matter when applying for a job? They have an ADN nursing program at Pima Medical Institute in my town, and I was considering going there since the classes through that program seem much more interesting and I would already technically be a nursing student. I would then get my RN to BSN since I've heard not a lot of places hire nurses with an associates anymore. I have heard bad things about PMI, and my family told me I wouldn't come out as prepared as a nurse as I would graduating from a university. Is this true? Any advice? Thanks.
