Hi Everyone,
I am a licensed nurse in the Philippines and is currently in California via spousal visa.
My husband and I are hoping that I can practice my profession here however, being a international BSN, it seems I am most likely to be denied by CA BON to take the licensure exam. Instead of pursuing my RN degree, we are looking at being an LVN instead for now.
I wonder how to start with all the process and I am hoping to hear from someone who actually took this route.
Thank You so much!

How about relocating to nevada and pursue rn?

CA has added additional requirements from what I've heard. However, you may go to other states where your husband has relatives and or friends who may be able to help or assist if you want to use your RN profession. Exhaust your options to pursue RN licensure because the effort is worth it. LVN is a good path, however, I've seen people w/ BSN who settle because once you're earning, you will get used to it and the bills would pile up.
