I am a BSN Graduate, unfortunately, the BON has asked me a requirement which I can't provide. That is why I am planning to enter the military. Is there a way for me to take the NCLEX exam when I entered Navy?I've been waiting for almost 6 months thats why I decided to enter the US Navy. Is there a possibility to be qualified to take the NCLEX exam when I entered the military?I know,I should provide the necessary requirements required in order to take the exam, does anybody has done this before?thank you...

There's a military section you might want to post your question in, but my understanding you can't be commissioned as an officer until licensed.
What about being licensed in another state, or will this problem haunt you in any state you apply?
That is why I am planning to be enlisted yet.Can I take the NCLEX exam when I am in service already?is there any possibility for that?
By the way,can you give me the link for the military thread.cant find it though.Newbie here, thank you.

I'm am currently in the path of becoming a naval nurse. I am graduating with my BSN this December 16th and was currently in the Nurse Candidate Program. I spoke to my detailer who handles my duty preferences and he told me I had to pass my NCLEX prior to commissioning. After commissioning to be a Navy Officer, I go to Officer Development School. If I were you, talk to an "Officer Recruiter" and tell them your situation. What is your situation with the BON?? You know the BON mandates the licensing for nurses, not the military. As long as your capable of being licensed to practice safely in your "home state", that will be adequate for your service in the military as a Navy Nurse.
