Hi everyone I didn't see one made yet so I guess this will be the official thread for BC May 2015!
Sorry, just saw your reply- thank you.
Wow, that does sound like a lot. Esp with your night shifts! I really hope all your hard work pays off- you are certainly busting your butt! :)
I think I will be okay for time to study once I get myself organized and receive the schedule (that's assuming I get in of course!) I will find the work very hard though- mostly due to schedule and family commitments. So pondering over that for now.
Thanks, that's a big help :)
You're correct. It's 2 days the first week, then once a week after that. I study about 2-3 hours a night, 5 times a week while working 10 hour night shifts. There may be one class where clinical will be on a weekend. :)
Thanks, those might actually work better with my personal schedule, but it ruins any chance of work. How did you like them? I mean from a training perspective- were the same learning opportunities available? 0600-1800?Was the Saturday rotation only available for OB? What happens to the other departments then?
Well, the only rotation that I experienced weekend clinicals was OB. I didn't see any clinicals before or after that had weekend clinicals. Learning was a bit different. Slower pace than weekdays, but you also weren't having clinicals with students from other schools. I personally didn't like them. Weekends are generally for my family and I while work and school is on weekdays. It kinda messed with my clock as well. :)
