Broward College Nursing January 2016

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

North campus

I know of many students that got their scrubs from a store that had BCs uniforms available to order. I ordered mine and now I'm nervous about the bottoms because I went to the bookstore and their a little different (pockets etc) but the same exact color....I'm stressing out about it I hope it's ok. If not it sucks because I can't return the other bottoms..... I also bought all white sketchers & the pants cover any logos

Anybody from central campus received their Syllabus?? I called Monday and was informed that professor Sibi had sent it to the "Dean & Admin" but not to the students. I am a bit nervous since I have read here that other campuses have their syllabus. I have not received syllabus for any of the classes,Can someone confirm if they are in the same situation???

I was just going to post on here and ask the same thing about any syllabi. Im at central and I have not received anything yet either. Has everyone been reading? I have done about 6 chapters that other people from previous years have said to start with, along with the study guides (which I bought off amazon for the Fundamentals book) I was just wondering how everyone is doing in their prep work and what about ways everyone is prepping?

Hi Y'all!

I'm attending Central Campus and MY LORD I'm anxiety ridden.

This uniform deal is causing me all sorts of drama I simply don't have time for.

I bought these Reeboks,

my pants cover the little logo strips and the word "Reebok" on the ankle. I guess if they're not gonna cut it I'm out $40 bucks for shoes I don't want because I have to wear them Monday. These were the most affordable comfortable option I can find.

And I am BROKE now thanks to all this pre-admission stuff and the 40 million textbooks we had to buy.

Also? The scrub pants from the bookstore.... HAIL NAWL.

They were SO big on me that the seamstress said it would cost about $150 to alter them.

Again, AH HAIL NAWL. Nope.

I bought Grey's anatomy from a scrub store, which I think during orientation they said was ok? What do ya'll think?

Am I gonna be lambasted?

I am also REALLY excited and psyched so I don't want to come off as negative but the uniform stuff has me sweatin

I'm on Central Campus too! I had anxiety over everything! I searched high and low for sneakers till I finally found some I was comfortable with from payless. I know we can wear scrub bottoms from a different store, as long as they're the exact same color as the BC scrubs. Books have rendered me impoverished lol, but in the end it's all towards the ultimate goal. I think we've all been crazy anxious these last few months, so you're not alone!

I finally got the email with the process I and lab packet/info., am I the only one that noticed that the orientation attachment is backdated to August of last year? I dont know what to do with it...

does anyone from north campus have their syllabus? all i got was an email from the math prof telling us to start reading, but nothing else.

and how many of those books that is on the list are we actually gonna use because i bought the bundle package but nothing else. im going to the school tomorrow to get the dosage cal book and anything outside of the bundle thats important because i heard u dont even use all the books.
