Broward College Nursing January 2016

Published

Hey everyone, I'm applying to the nursing program for January 2016 at Broward College. I guess this will be the official thread for the January 2016, Broward college nursing students; since no one has made one yet. Who else is applying for this term and what courses do you have remaining to finish pre reqs? I'm currently enrolled in A&P 2 lecture and lab and also a math class which are the last two courses I need to apply. I finish the classes in August yayyy :)

Good luck :)

Hi I'm new to this thread. I'm going to central campus. Not sure if Nicole can answer this question or other students but on the first day can we wear scrub top and scrub bottoms? Also, do we wear our white shoes or can we just wear normal sneakers since we won't be in the hospital just yet?

Yeah, it is the correct edition.

My email is [email protected]. Thanks!

South campus.... Does anyone know until we may be in clinicals for the first five weeks? Like what is the latest we can get out?

They said prepare for twelve hour clinical days at orientation. Usually 7-7

Wear your scrubs and white shoes at all times. Wearing "normal" sneakers would get you sent home.

I found a pdf copy of Dosage Calculations. Let me know if anyone wants a copy ;-)

Me !!! [email protected]

I have short hair that I can barely get into a low pony tail. I know this might be a dumb question but how am I supposed to wear my hair?

Do you mind sending me a copy as well.

(SOUTH CAMPUS)

Does anyone know if we have to fill out The head to toe physical assessment sheet? If so what exactly are we supposed to do

As long as they are all white? and leather?

Don't make it complicated. All white nikes, adidas, new balance, all white nursing shoes.

If it's short and can't go into a pony tail just let it hang. If it's short and doesn't touch your neck you should be fine.

Buy all white nursing shoes that completely enclose your feet. No clogs or open back shoes.

At Central, we were required to wear white shoes for our clinical days (on campus and at the hospital) and any shoe we wanted on lecture days.
