Broward college Nursing Jan 2015

Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?

In regards to the background checks and drug screening, we're required to turn in only the receipts for those specifically (in addition to the rest of the documentation for the physical with the necessary lab results/medical record and certificates) right? I just want to make sure.

Also how long are the certificates valid for?

I believe the certificates are good for abiut 2 years. Basically the length of the program.

I know I'm extremely late lol but I am officially a Central Campus student! Hooray!!!

Anyone else has my schedule? Excited for January!!! :)

I turned in everything last week. Hopefully I don't get an email saying the medical portion is wrong or something. My doc takes FOREVER.

We have the same Pharmacology and Nursing Process I and II (theory only) classes :D I am so excited as well!

Did you turn in your application already? I believe that's usually what the status shows when your application hasn't been reviewed yet. Call the school tomorrow to find out

It was for a friend she turned her app in last week my status says app in review

Ladies and gents who are in the same class as me, I know it's early but we should buddy up to study :)

Future RN0630, it means your application is still in review. You can call the nursing department and ask them on an update or wait. Good luck! :)

Does anybody know anyone that has taken microbiology within the nursing program? When are you able to take the class during the nursing program and how many weeks is it? Do they mix it with other nursing courses? If so..yikes!!
