Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?
I searched under continuing education. These are the reference numbers for the courses
CAE0644 - 500782
HSC0552 - 499364
HSC0591 - 499365
HSC0691 - 499366
HSC0692 - 499371
Just login to your myBC then under add the classes then pay for them give like 30 minutes and it shows up on your D2L then you can complete them
I paid the 30 dollar drug screening but I haven't taken the drug test yer. Will it it be an issue if I do it after oct 27
Nicole said it needs to be done on or before Oct. 27th here is the latest email with clarification:
Good morning!*
I have received numerous emails and phone calls regarding the October 27th deadline. To clarify, you do not turn in ANY paperwork to Health Science Admissions OR the program office by October 27th.*
The October 27th deadline is for you to complete your background checks and drug screening ONLY. Your receipts from those screenings must be dated Octoober 27th or prior.* Your physical, CEUs, etc. do not have to be complete by this date.*
All receipts (including the background checks and drug screening) are to be turned into the program office, along with the physical and CEU's, by the deadline date provided by the RN program office on the campus in which you are registered.*
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.*
All the best,*
Nichole*
Gustavo, I had the same thing happen when I signed up for an online class too. After you sign up and pay, I was told by D2L support that it may take up to 24 hours for the class to show up on your homepage. Mine showed up about 12 hours after I signed up and paid. As far as the TB/OSHA course is concerned, you can try Sheridan Tech or CEUfast.com. Hope this helps!
When I called nursing dept last week to ask that because I knew I wasn't going to make it in time to submit application before Friday I was told that they will contact you to set up private meeting to go over everything that was discussed at orientation. So you should just keep a lookout for an email once you get a status of accepted.
