Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.

Yes it is possible to do the class with work, I work full time and I am able to do all the assignments and everything on time, I just make sure I log on everyday to do one form of work to stay on top of it.

hey! i have a question if i retake the class online and work a 9-5 job is it possible to complete the assignments ? do they have a due date? can you please just give me some input it would be greatly appreciated .

yes i work 45 hours a week and have 3 other online classes and i get eveyrthing done on time. TIME MANAGEMENT lol very important.

I agree. Time management is very important. That will carry over when you begin the RN program as well.

Hello all so I just want to share my recent journey on trying to retake a class to get accepted into Broward nursing program. After getting denied for January 17' term I really got discouraged and started looking into all my options as far as schools. I was considering chamberlain but my gpa overall wasn't where it needed to be so I was going end up taking a lot more classes just to get accepted. So I turned to keiser nursing program which I learned today will probably be about $40,000.00 and I'm almost maxed out on my pell grant as well as my unsub loans due to going to private and out of state schools and sad to say I still don't have a degree. After meeting with the financial aid dept today at keiser is when all that info was brought to my attention. I was kinda sad because despite The price at keiser I liked the fact that it was one class a month and I can focus on that because I still have a life of being a mother to two and wife so I thought it would balance out to me. I know work force has the grant that they offer to help with tuition but with out president who knows if that will be the available. So now I guess I'm back to trying to get accepted for May term at BC I'm very very nervous 1 because I don't have many other options to live out my dream and I'm scared with the amount of classes we will take the first semester and knowing we can't really fail anything is scary to me. Is anyone nervous about taking so many classes especially if they have kids and a family? My greatest fear is failing and making the wrong school choice. I will be retaking enc 1101 at keiser in a few weeks and they do offer payment plans if you ask. And there are grants and scholarships you can see if you qualify for. If I get an A in this class I think I will have a 3.5 or a 3.6

You are not alone I too was very discouraged because I dint get accepted for January, but I said to myself just keep trying ! I instantly went to Keiser to find out if I could retake a class I previously received a C in (since a lot of students who got accepted in January did that) and I finish this week with an A hopefully. So my GPA will be up to a 3.73. When it comes to nerves, I am just as nervous about fulfilling my dream and not failing. I don't have kids but I know I have my families support. I'm actually thinking about moving to either Broward or West Palm with my boyfriend. I've been lucky enough to have his support on this as well. It is not going to be easy for any of us but I know we all want this bad. I really really hope May is our term !

MAY IS OURS GUYS!

I start Anatomy next week so once I get an A i'll have a 3.09 I believe, it is not as high as either of yours but I feel confident in this term and if not I have a back up school in play. Becoming a nurse is my goal and I will do anything to achieve that. I will not settle for less.

The advice I would give to you is make Keiser your last resort when it comes to nursing. Think about post grad hiring and what hospitals say about Keiser nurses, from what I heard they don't have the best rep. I am looking into Chamberlain, being a good friend of mine just graduated with a job lined up. Their sim lab is amazinggggg, I have half the classes so it will cut the cost tremendously, only prob is retaking the Hesi with their school, but other than that, I am trying for that school as a back up, Keiser is last resort for me.

I was looking into going to chamberlain for next yr but my overall gpa wasn't there. And I had to complete a few more classes to get it where it needs to be. During my hospital stay at memorial west a lot of my nurses came from chamberlain and they were super sweet. If you don't mind me asking If you don't get in for may god forbid would you try for aug? And if you have the inside scoop on chamberlain it doesn't sway you to want to go there sooner? I hear a lot of good things. With the info I got yesterday from keiser I really have to smart about my schools and what I'm doing because I'm close to hitting my max on pell and will have to get loans so BC price is really seeming more reasonable. I'm just nervous because this will be fast paced and we have so much going on within the first semester that I don't want to fail. Which is my greatest fear.

I was prompted to start chamberlain yes but BC will always be my number one try, I do plan on trying for august at BC if I do not get in while I try for chamberlain also. Keiser is about the money and I say that from experience, they told me to give up on nursing and try their resp. program. Don't give up your GPA is in better standing than mine and I think you will be okay this semester. Chamberlain also has all the accreditation needed I made sure, so that's a plus. Both schools are good, I am currently taking some of those classes for chamberlain being the adviser i spoke with advised me it would be wiser to save money. I am not necessarily worried about financial I want to be a nurse so I will do all I can. Don't give up tho, you are almost there!

I am in the same boat as you. My overall GPA is just not there because I failed a bunch of hard classes for medical school; however, an advisor told me if you do REALLY well on your HESI they might overlook it. I actually love Chamberlain. I toured the campus and their sim lab is so appealing. I was told you can go in there whenever you want without appointment as well. I am planning on taking another semester at BC as the advisor told me I need 6 more credits at a 4.0 to meet the GPA requirement for Chamberlain. However, the BSN at Chamberlain is so expensive and I've already made a close group of friends at BC so if I get into BC in February, I will DEFINITELY go but if not, I will definitely go to Chamberlain. The medical office I currently work in sees a lot of Chamberlain students for their clinicals and they always speak highly of it - the only major con is they mention is price. I'm a bit scared of becoming a slave to those loans for the next few decades but I am lucky enough that my significant other makes enough for the two of us as it is. We will see. I love Chamberlain, but I am shooting for BC.
