Broward College January 2011

New thread started for all those applying for / accepted to / attending Broward College January 2011. Chime in, let us know how you're doing!

Specializes in ED.

Post-conference is where you meet up in your clinical group once you come off the floor. You would talk about your day there, do presentations, etc. Apparently, now you do case studies there, too.

What does post-conference mean? And would we need the Casitllo book the first half of the semester?

Yes, you will need it for when you start going to the hospital... You don't start going right away, so you could wait a few weeks into the semester to buy it. Bookstore charges $45, I'd check online for a cheaper price :-)

I was unable to take to pratice math class because of another class at the same time. I was thinking it might help to at least get the book that is used in the class and go through it on my own. Is anyone taking this class? If so, could you give me the name of the textbook you are using? Thanks in advance!:)

I am taking it!! It's the dosage calculations by Gloria Pickar 3rd edition.

im taking it too!! :)

GREAT! That is the very same book I am using right now to study with. I purchased it some time ago, but I have the second edition. I recommend everybody to start studying so that we will have a headstart and are better prepared for the math class. LET'S ACE THIS CLASS & SHOW THEM WHO REALLY ROCKS!!!

Hello all...for those who already went to orientation..has anyone received the schedule for South Campus yet? They said they would email it but I havent gotten anything?

Question for those of you that have gotten in already regarding the HESI do all the sub categories under Reading Comprehension (like Meaning Word Use, Conclusions, Implications, Understanding) have to be above 75% or is it just the overall Reading Comprenhension score they are looking at. Thanks
