I'm starting this thread for students looking to start(ing), and (or) finishing there pre's by spring of 2013 at Broward College. Also for those who are entering (or) looking to enter the Nursing Program in Fall 2013.
We are exactly one year away from this program. So tell me what classes are you taking or have left?
I have Fall Math Intermediate, A&P II lab only, and Computers (need 6 credits to get loans.) Winter College Algebra or Statistics and Chem 1032& Chem lab
Summer Microbiology and Micro Lab.
Yesterday I visted advisement at South, and when I was leaving I got a wake up call that now I will only live, eat, breath nursing school. I never felt this way before. Once me and my advisor went over my Education Plan I started to feel that school going to get harder. Hey I can do this and so can you.
I was warned about BC by close friends of mine. However, I was also told that BC cleaned house. That the director, I believe, was fired as were other employees. I'm hoping that good people were placed in their position. Fingers crossed. See y'all in a couple of hours, as I'm just getting out of work. :-)
Did anyone get their certifications from ceufast.com? I did the TB/OSHA/Hep separately with a total of 8 hours. Do you know if they will accept it even though it exceeds by 2 hours?

Hey does anyone know of a place that can get the BC nursing logo embroidered onto a regular pair of scrubs. During orientation they said that it couldn't be done but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be advertising a place that we could get our uniforms cheaper. So if anyone knows of a place please let me know.

Got both the Drug Screen & Fingerprinting done today...in & out in 15 minutes!!!
FYI: Physical at Drs. 365...total cost for everything was under $200
Ugh! thats great! I paid $457!!! I got the boosters,physical and had to get a chest x-ray. I have an appt. for my prints this Saturday and BLS renewal next Saturday.
