I'm starting this thread for students looking to start(ing), and (or) finishing there pre's by spring of 2013 at Broward College. Also for those who are entering (or) looking to enter the Nursing Program in Fall 2013.
We are exactly one year away from this program. So tell me what classes are you taking or have left?
I have Fall Math Intermediate, A&P II lab only, and Computers (need 6 credits to get loans.) Winter College Algebra or Statistics and Chem 1032& Chem lab
Summer Microbiology and Micro Lab.
Yesterday I visted advisement at South, and when I was leaving I got a wake up call that now I will only live, eat, breath nursing school. I never felt this way before. Once me and my advisor went over my Education Plan I started to feel that school going to get harder. Hey I can do this and so can you.
I am in too! Where is everyone finding information about books and possible dress code for the meeting? I'd love to meet afterwards for coffee with any of my fellow students.

Hi Megan...Congrats!!! If you go into the bookstore site, it gives you the list of all books needed for nursing. i also went into the bookstore (Central) & they showed me exactly what books are required, etc... As far as the dress code goes, it's business-casual. Coffee sounds great. Looking forward to meeting everyone. :)
Hope everyone is doing well!!! I am beginning to work on certificates... I just took the TB/OSHA/HEP through CEUfast & they give you 5 hours for the course & B.C. requires 6 hours. Does anyone know how I get that extra hour, or does B.C. just accept as is??? I tried to look through old posts, but couldn't find any info...Thanks for the response. :)
I have no idea. Where can we take all these certificate classes? Thru BC or do we have other options?

Megan, you can take the certificate classes through B.C. or other places. I chose to take mine through CEUfast because it was only $30 for all the certificates. Check out your options then choose whatever you feel is best. They will tell us more about the certificates at the meeting.
Hello everyone, my status changed to pre admission today. Im sooooo happy that wait was so nerve wrecking . I Got in with 7 points and 86% on the HESI. Goodluck to everyone still waiting and congrats to those who are accepted.
