Broward College August 2012

Hi! This is a thread for anyone applying for August 2012 class at Broward College for the generic nursing track. I deferred my seat so I will be starting in August. I haven't decided if I want to go to central or south yet.. I'm super excited about starting in August! If I could help anyone with anything feel free to ask! :)

For north campus its a yes, I went to the health science department, and they told me they do accept ceufast. Dont know about central.

They lady I spoke with when I went there yesterday says, "yes we accept ceufast, just make sure they are the same hours."

You would have to take them seperate, so for the OSHA part you would take infection control and barrier precautions-4 hours. TB and Hep C.

You can also call the health science dept at north to make sure

Maybe I heard wrong at orientation but is there another mandatory orientation type meeting going on sometime in August? Im not sure if it is for the actual campus we go to or whatever but I have a trip and I am really worried now, am I the only one who heard that or is there some truth to it?

There is orientation for each campus. It will be closer to the date we start classes after all docs will be in and classes are paid for. It's when we meet our lecturers and get info about actual classes and clinicals. The sessions this week were pre-admission meetings. They should let us know when it is soon.

Has anyone received the emails from all 3 campuses yet? Registration is on Monday and I haven't gotten anything as of yet.

Im super excited to start school!!!!

LOL I guess I should have read the last posts before I posted mine...

I just got an email from Nichole Howell and she said they have not sent the emails as of yet. She said if we dont receive anything by Friday to call the Nursing Admin office as they are the ones sending out the email.
