Hi! This is a thread for anyone applying for August 2012 class at Broward College for the generic nursing track. I deferred my seat so I will be starting in August. I haven't decided if I want to go to central or south yet.. I'm super excited about starting in August! If I could help anyone with anything feel free to ask! :)
I got my physical and titers done, for $179 at Doctors365.(Physical $30, Titers:-PPD-$12(if it is positive then you need and x-ray-$40),Varicella-$27,MMR-$60,HepB-$50). I got the HepB vaccine series for $47 each(3) at Broward Health Center(Edgar Mills) . These are the cheapest I could find. Call and ask around to get the best prices especially if you are paying without insurance.
Disclaimer : I hope this is not considered advertising, I am not affiliated with these places at all, I just found them to be the cheapest and I know we need to save all the money we can for this program.
Does anyone know if we can take the CEU's on ceufast.com? I have seen some post that say we can but I need to make sure before doing this...I am an out of state student so my fees are sky high and I just can't afford to pay 200 dollars for CEU's right now with all the other money that we will be dishing out in order to start the program. Please help! :-)

For south you can as long as they're enough hours. I don't know about central or north

For north campus its a yes, I went to the health science department, and they told me they do accept ceufast. Dont know about central.
Maybe I heard wrong at orientation but is there another mandatory orientation type meeting going on sometime in August? Im not sure if it is for the actual campus we go to or whatever but I have a trip and I am really worried now, am I the only one who heard that or is there some truth to it?

I called central today. She said ceufast is fine except the hepc/OSHA one they want us to take at BC. I am taking it online. All of the others are fine from ceufast

Yea any one of them works. I know the one in copper city doesn't do drug testing so don't bother going there.
