Thank you for your interest in the limited access Nursing program at Broward College (BC).* All applicants were reviewed using the Nursing admission criteria accessible on the Broward College website at: Admission Information.

Broward College's (BC) Health Science Admission Office reviewed your records and you have been selected for the August 2010 nursing class that will begin on August 23, 2010.

A mandatory pre-admission session is scheduled for Thursday, July 1, 2010, at 9:00 a.m.* The session will be held at BC’s Central Campus, Criminal Justice Institute (Building 22), room 155. At the session, you will be provided with specific information for enrolling in the Nursing Program to prepare you to move forward.* You may register online at Broward College, formerly Broward Community College - BCC to take any certification classes you have not completed. Please respond to this email to confirm that you will be attending by Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at 4:00 pm.* To respond, just click on “reply”. Students who do not respond to this email by the June* 22,* 2010, 4:00 pm deadline, or do not attend the mandatory pre-admissions session, will automatically forfeit their seat to the next eligible applicant.

On the day of the preadmission meeting, you will receive a Forensic Drug Testing Custody and Control Form that you are required to present to Quest Diagnostics on the day of your drug screening.* Information for completing the Medical Immunization and Physical exam, Certified Background Check, and Statutory Fingerprinting Background Check required for all new and current Health Science Students can be downloaded from the following website: Health Science Admissions.

yea!!!! I got my e-mail too! I have class that morning so hopefully missing the day won't be an issue. I will see you all at orientation. :)

Do we need to have the background check, physical, etc completed before the orientation? The email says the drug screening paperwork is given to you at orientation so obviously that has to wait but what about the rest??? I would hate to walk in unprepared.

suebird12: the email said that during the orientation, we will receive info for completing the immunization/physical. So no need to worry about that quite yet.

I just have to do those CE's (hiv/aids, TB/OSHA, d.violence) now...
