Congrats to everyone that got in!! You have a long hard road ahead of you. I am finishing up OB at South Campus, but remember how anxious I was when I was getting started. My class was notified June 14th, had orientation July 9th, and started August 24th '09 but I see that they are running a little behind with this incoming class. My suggestions are to take the CEUs at ceufast.com if you haven't taken the HCP course. I believe if you take them at this website, you'll still need to take your CPR somewhere else and yes these have to be done BEFORE you start. There's a lot of stuff you'll need to get done, but don't worry they will tell you everything at orientation.

DON'T BUY ANYTHING UNTIL YOU TALK TO SOMEBODY ABOUT WHAT YOU REEEEEALLY NEED. Sometimes in all your excitement about getting into school, you buy all this extra stuff or stuff that is not even allowed and waste money. One thing I did that I regret was buying flare leg scrub pants which are an absolute NO NO. Don't buy any cute shoes with designs and flowers or holes at the top or open in the back. Once again those are a NO NO. All white, no holes, closed back. Don't buy that big blue nursing supply bag yet. You'll understand later. If you can get any of the books you will need at a used price now, GET THEM.

I suggest you start off with the Perry Potter Fundamentals of Nursing 7th ed.

PM ME IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS SPECIFIC TO SOUTH CAMPUS TEACHERS!! Some are really GREAT and some...well...um...yeah pm me.

Thanks for the advice shescoolie. Why no flare scrub pants...I really don't want elastic wasteband! haha!

Mine says "Pre-Admission"!!!! that was quick!!!

shescoolie...thank you for the info!!!
