Hello!!! Just wondering if anyone else has applied for August 2010 yet? :)

the rest are exactly the same and you get ur certificates on the spot

ok thanks for the reccomendation nursingaffair.. im already registered to take my ceus in july... but i think im going to drop them for a refund and take them online instead since its cheaper and quicker... i did not know that was an option

yeah the lady from continuing education told me. i just finished them all and it was 29 bucks for all except the bls which you have to do in person somewhere else.

So what is it that we do next? Wait for a email?

Has anyone else who applied after May 15th heard anything??

Im turning in my application tomorrow...took HESI on Saturday. Question, did BC accept the emailed results of your HESI or did you have to wait til they mailed the results to your house then use that for you application? Reason being is I received my HESI results today.

Please let me know. Thanks!!

You have to print your results and attatch to your application. You will be notified by email when you are able to see your results online and can print from there

you can use the printout from the test center.

i made a copy of it and turned that in. she said it was up to me so i kept the original

I took the HESI at FAU and they gave us paper and there was a calculator built into the program. The test was simple, as long as you passed A&P. There were actually a LOT of mistakes written into the questions and I'm definitely writing to the testing company about it... Ex: "What hormone is made by the pituitary gland?" One option was ADH. One was Oxytocin. And then two wrong answers. ??? Also a lot of errors in the grammar section and a few in the vocab, too. Drove me nuts because I've been teaching English for the past ten years.

Anyway... I didn't buy the study guide and didn't prepare at all and I scored an overall of 95% with my individual areas scoring between 90% (reading comp) and 100% (math, grammar, vocab).

I was wondering if someone could tell me exactly how the point system works. I can't find any information about it on their site. I'm applying for the fall semester next week and I have a good GPA and straight A's in my pre-reqs so I'm wondering what that translates to into points.

Here is a link to the old page that appeared on the Dept. of Nursings website regarding point calculation and how it is calculated in relation to the admission process. Please note this may be old and does not address the HESI so this may no longer be correct but can serve as a point of reference

So based on your 4.0 in prereqs and assuming a broward resident you should have 17 pts
