Has anyone taken the ENGL*312: Persuasive Writing course with BYU? If so, how long did it take you to complete the course and how challenging did you find the assignments? I would like to do the entire course during the month of April 2013. Is that possible?

My advisor said that they will accept for the BSN Expository Writing requirement.

Ok. Here's the deal. This course cannot be done in a month. I just finished it along with the final exam (multiple choice) and I know I got an A on the exam because the questions, as they said in the instructions for the preparation, came directly from the speedback assignments. Before taking the exam, I maintained an A on each assignment. The only problem with this course is that the instructor is allowed (and TAKES) a full two weeks or more to grade each of the papers. This course allows one year for completion and if you do not maintain drive and determination to complete it, as there are a lot of papers to write, it WILL take a year, given the turnaround time with the grading system.

Anyway, I have FINALLY met the writing requirement so that I can begin the nursing components of the BSN. Hopefully, BYU will get my transcript to EC in time for me to begin the August courses because I still plan to be done with this degree by the summer. I just have a lot of work to do to play catch-up now because of the snail grades with the writing course. In the meantime, I've broken out the books to begin studying for the Community Focused Nursing exam. I plan to take this exam AS SOON AS approval is granted for this.

thats good to know, I am debating using BYU online to do some of my BSN stuff.

Ok. Just make sure you have time to spend on waiting. Other than that, the experience was very pleasant.
