BOTOX/Dermal Filler Training

Published

Where do you recommend people get training?

Sorry, I don't have any info for you but I'd like to know... are you a cosmetic surgery nurse? If yes, do you mind telling me about it? I'm interested in this field! PM me if you like :)

Specializes in PeriOperative.

As a nurse, if there is a surgeon willing to train you to give Botox/fillers, he will do it himself. The plastic surgeon I work for does his own injections, however there are some that are more than willing to train their staff to do it.

The best place to get trained is through a reputable plastic surgery residency program, following med school.

A nurse should start a business training others how to inject! woo!

yes, great company for training. www.aestheticadvancements.com

BTX/Dermal Fillers / Sclerotherapy /Lasers /Skin Care. Thanks everyone for your responses.

I trained with 2 places for botox and dermal fillers: Empire Medical and Skin Savvy Aesthetics. Empire was a bigger group so I got less hands on but they gave good information. It was a couple years ago. I took Skin Savvy Aesthetics training based on a friend's recommendation as a refresher recently, and she was awesome. It's a doctor that does 1 on 1 or small group training, so I got more hands on and she explained advanced techniques a little better. And it was cheaper :)
