Hi everyone,

I just wanted to start a new thread for all of us who are or have applied to Boston area Direct Entry MSN programs. All of my applications are in and I'm anxiously waiting to hear back! I have submitted applications to MGH, Simmons, NU, Regis and Salem State... My concentration is in Women's Health or Family (depending on the school).

Thanks!

Also applied to Regis and MGH. Will submit to Umass and Northeastern by the deadlines as well. Regis is my number one choice for myriad reasons. Hate the waiting game.

Nice. Regis is one of my top choices as well. Each program seems to have their pros and cons. I think MGH is my first choice, I've been working for MGH/partners since I graduated so it feels like a second home. NU and Simmons also seem like strong programs. Going to just see where I get in!

Of course! Would be nice to be able to have a choice of course;) I have no second plan if I fail to get admitted anywhere though lol. All my egg in one basket so to speak...

Hi! How do I find out what the acceptance rates were for last year for these direct entry programs? I am intending on applying next year and want to know more about how competitive each program is individually so I can see how I will compare. Good luck to you all this year!!!! :)

Schools don't typically publish this data. Your best bet is just to ask the school how many people applied and try these forums to hash the info. The programs have all become fairly competitive. most have about 500 applications. The number of spots vary with the school. Good luck next year!

Anyone know about FASFA details? I know we can begin to submit for 2013 on 1/1/13 but i think my situation is similar to most in that i am currently working full time so my income that i will submit to them will reflect this but, when i am actually enrolled in the program i wont be able to work at all, or at least not full time. Do you know how this will work?? Thanks!
