Has anyone else gotten notification from their state BON of temporary waivers of various regulations to help with workforce issues?

We haven't had any waivers or adjustments to the licensing requirements, but in terms of practice regulations and expectations there have been changes.

We're operating under "Crisis Standards of Care", which I would encourage those areas that aren't already getting hit hard to have conversations with your supervisors and administrators about what this entails, and if they don't know what you're talking about then tell them they need to talk to their state's BON and DOH. Trying sort this out while you're already getting slammed with patients isn't ideal.

Yes, Iowa is now allowing nurses with an inactive license (within the last 5 years) to practice.
