Honestly, I wouldn't take A&P1 during the summer. It's a really intense class, and it's one of those classes that can make or break you. You might not have enough time to digest all of the information that's going to be thrown at you in just 5 weeks. I'm taking that class right now, and I can just barely keep up with it along with my three other classes.
I know you don't want to wait, but I think that you should take it during the fall session and hold back on applying. It's really tough to get into any NYC nursing program these days. You're going to be competing with people that have 4.0 GPAs and lots of hospital volunteer/work experience. It's rough out there, so you should take your time getting the best grades that you possibly can.

I am taking a&p1 in the fall. I took chem 121 summer session 1 and that was a struggle.
Oooh thanks, I decided to register for fall, so I'll be taking it during fall
Ok I am wishing both of us the best of luck
Same here, best of luck :)
