@Meenanyc I'm not going to be apply for the spring semester anymore cause I'm a transfer student and this is my first semester here at bmcc and right now I'm taking math 104 which is one of the requirement but I finish every other pre-req it's just that class. I spoke to the people in the nursing Department and they told me I have to completely finish all four pre-req before applying. So right now I'm not sure which one I'm gonna be apply to, but how about you did you apply to the day or even program ?

YUP this is exactly what my issue was last year. I wanted to apply for Fall 2019 last spring but i was taking MAT104 and they said because I wasn't a UDH (come to find out I could never actually be one since BMCC got rid of the undeclared health major and makes everyone a liberal arts major), I would have to wait a full semester until all my reqs were completed. Beyond annoying but whatever. I waited the semester and now the process should hopefully be much smoother lol.

Good luck to you all! What's your gpa? Do you know by chance how many students are they planning to accept?

Hi everyone. After years of reading the discussion boards it's finally my turn to make an entry. However, the discussion doesn't seem as active as it used to be. The Kaplan exam is set for December 3, 2018 that being said I want to congratulate everyone on making it this far and I hope we all pass and get in to the program.

What kind of questions were there on the science portion? I'm not sure how to study. Taking it next semester hopefully!

When I went to the interim nursing advisor, my GPA for the 4 required pre-reqs is a 4.0. I have taken all of the other classes too and my GPA for the other nursing degree courses is like a 3.85. No idea how many they are trying to accept but from reading past threads, it seems like Spring semester seems a little less competitive to get into than the Fall.

Hi BMCC '19 hopefuls, I took the Kaplan this morning, I got 82% and my GPA is 3.8, this was my second time taking it. I hope i get into the program. Am just wondering if we will receive phone calls, letters or emails to know if we got in the program or not.

Any advice as far as studying for writing and science on the exam?

Hi, for science, cardiovascular systems, flow of blood through the heart, urinary system functions, aging, neurology, electrolyte, movement of carbon oxide and oxygen. most of it was A&P 2. Math was the easiest, don't go so deep, equations, conversions, proportions, just the basics. writing was bit challenging, Practice sentence placements, subject verb-agreement,puctuations. good luck!

How was the science portion? What do we need to know?
