Bloomfield, Felician, or other?

Published

So I am currently a pre nursing student in hudson county community college. I will be finished with pre reqs next semester. I have decided to just transfer to a BSN program instead of going the 2 year route. So far I have applied to felician and bloomfield college. I talked to a Admissions councilor at Bloomfield yesterday and showed him my unofficial transcripts and told me I would definitely be accepted as a transfer student... Tomorrow I am going to an open house at Felician.

I live in Jersey city...work part time nights in Hackensack... Bloomfield is about 30 mins from me. Felician is almost half that but a little more expensive......

Money is a big issue but at the same time I don't want to run myself ragged traveling so much for class.....

i dont know what to dooooo

does anyone know of any other bsn programs closer? St peters is WAYYYY to exspensive....lol

I think William Paterson and Caldwell are the two other colleges that are close to you.

Here's a link for other BSN colleges in NJ.

You work Part-time in Hackensack? Shheesshhh, ARE THEY HIRING???

lol, I'm an ER tech there. They just hired alot of new techs and nurses. They are slowly doing away with Nurses Aides and making them Patient Care Technicians so they can do blood work, EKG's, and hook up tele pt's.

And just an update. I decided to go to Felician. After the open house I am really likeing their BSN program. They even have a nursing residency program senior year. they are also very generous with scholarships so if all goes well I will be starting there in the fall!
