Binghamton BAT 2021-2022

Hey everyone! Just starting a thread for this cycle's BAT/ABSN program at Binghamton that's starting next Summer 2021. I've just submitted the SUNY transfer app, but holding off on submitting the actual BAT app for a little while longer. Hoping we can use this thread to talk about the program and post questions like years prior! The deadline isn't until November so it's still way early, but having the thread ready to go doesn't hurt. I'm also applying to Buffalo and Brockport so I'll likely be active in those threads as well! ?

Hello! For those who have taken A&P 1,2, and Microbiology, did you guys decide to waive intro to biology on the pre-requisite form?

When I sent in my prerequisite evaluation form to them in the Summer they automatically waived the biology pre-req so I didn’t include my grade!

Hi all. Thank you for making this group. I have two classes still in progress. these will be completed in December. Will Bing review my application even if these courses are still in progress? I have all pre reqs complete aside for Micro and Lifespan Development. Please advise!

They’ll still look at your application but depending on how things go they might ask for a progress report to see what your grades are like in the courses so far later on. From what I understand from talking to admissions, after they geta decent sized pool of applicants who have their entire application complete (SUNY app, resume, pre-req form, and all transcripts received) then the committee gets together and reviews that pool. So it all depends on how you compare to those in that pool of applicants. So if you’re competitive in that pool and they’re just trying to decide if you make the cut or not, they ask for a progress report.

Hi everyone, I'm new in this thread. I submitted my application through Commonapp approximately 3 weeks ago and I am uncertain of the next steps? Should I expect to hear from the school about ID/submitting additional documents? Thanks for the help! just a little confused now reading through these comments ?

Welcome to the party! ?  You should be getting an email from undergrad admissions giving you your user ID and a link for you to set up your status checker portal. I'm sure it'll be coming soon, but you could always reach out to admissions if you still have concerns. My email didn't come until nearly a month and a half after I submitted my transfer app, but that's because I did it super early and they didn't even start downloading apps until late September! On that status checker portal is where you upload all the additional documents and where you can see what transcripts they've received so far.

Thank you for the advice. I just got off the phone with the undergraduate admissions and they said I can attach a progress report without being asked by the admissions department. They said the form to fill out is on the apply.bing.edu website under transfer but I am having a hard time finding it. Not sure if its a form or if my current professors have to fill something out and send my progress report via email to the school. Thank you again for the help. Bing is one of my top choices
