BF is very impatient about me taking NCLEX and start working as a nurse

I can understand why, since he's been helping me with part of my bills throughout nursing school, but it has got to a point where after 7 years we are probably going to break up over this. I tried to explain him several times how lengthy the process is, and that I will have to wait for the att first and then schedule it.. not to mention that it does take months to get hired and actually see the first pay check. I am currently working full time (went back to my old job after graduation) but that still makes no difference to him.

PS: I am just venting I guess. I can't even imagine how I would be able to pass NCLEX if he leaves me right before the test.. 😞

I guess it is normal, I have the same issue with my husband I totally feel you. i recently passed my Nclex got my license and still looking for a job, he asks me every single time "Any news yet?" which is annoying and really frustrating. I sat down with him and explained that we have to bepatient and i will get the right job for me. He stops asking and been more supportive. the difference is that we cant break up lol. Guess if it's worth it and he really loves and supports you he will stick with you til the end! hang in there, and hopefully you passed your NCLEX! God Speed!

Thank you! Hopefully I'll pass, but either way, I have him some space. I think I was too dependent on him emotionally, when I know the one person I have to rely on in the long run, is myself.

Fingers crossed I'll pass the first time around, I'm waitinf for my ATT and studying every chance I get in the meantime!

Good luck with your job search, I'm sure you'll find something decent really soon!

Yep. Only person you can rely on is yourself. Never be secure in someone else's intentions or plans. Because next thing you know everything changes. Lessons learned!

Always remember it's "Me myself and I".
