Good day everyone,
I just wanted to pass on a warning that I wish I had gotten sooner. I signed on to do contract work for VES, with the promise of a strong per-patient pay rate for contract work. What they failed to mention was that the actual patient visit is only a small part of the job. When I completed the visits, instead of paying me for them, they send a barrage of revision and addition requests, some of which had little or nothing to do with the original purposes of the exams. The total time spent traveling, getting set up and doing all the follow-up work left me making less than I would have picking up a day job as a manual laborer.
They also vastly oversold the amount of actual work available, convincing me to seek licensure in several states with the promise of plentiful work there. Not a shred of this has panned out, and I am left in the hole with time and application expenses. They are a relatively new company, and are already developing a bad reputation from several other practitioners who have had similar experiences. I just wish that reputation had developed enough for me to see it before I wasted so much time and effort with them!

Dang, I hate that for you. It's so hard to see through some of these sneaky companies. Makes me even more glad of my decision to involve a lawyer in any contract I sign with. Thanks for the heads up, though!
