Better to work in hospital setting first?

I just graduated and I'm studying for my NCLEX now. I have been working at a children's hospital as a nursing assistant for a little over a year. I like it there and I was actually offered a job there after I pass the NCLEX. But I have always liked the nonhospital settings better. I've applied to a few pediatric clinics and a school nurse job. I know they prefer more experienced RN's, but I did get a call back from one of the clinics.

Does anyone have an opinion through experience or just in general about whether it's better to start off my RN career in a hospital? Thank you!
