I'm likely to be starting the BSN completion program at Bethel's CAPS program this Feb, since I just graduated from the ADN program at Century and can't seem to find any jobs and they all seem to be pointing us in the direction of getting our BSN's being the magical key that opens the doors (that and not being pregnant anymore after January! Nobody is going to hire a 35 week pregnant nurse right now!)
SO I wondered if anyone had any experience with the program, was it worth the big bucks it's going to cost? I have to still take an intro to Statistics course (it's PSYCH something) and was highly recommended. I've had instructors speak pretty highly of Bethel, and since my ultimate goal is to be a nursing instructor someday (I LOVE pharmacology...) I figured it'd be kind of a nice straight shot, BSN, work and earn my right to teach, get Masters, get teaching degree.
Oh, another question, for those who went through the program- how much are we looking at for text books? Is it going to be a hefty sum, like it was for my Associates RN? (like $1,000 plus?)
All in all I'm kind of excited to go back. I wish I could be working, I don't relish the idea of getting in more debt than what we have now, and it kinda stinks that from May through November, all that time I hit up tons of places and never got a hit for a job...got 2 interviews. That's it. After November 1st I just stopped. I'm too close to baby time! Anyhoo, opinions greatly appreciated!

Hi I am currently attending the Tech school in Winona for my LPN but am transferring up to Bethel for their BSN program in the Fall. I am from the twin cities and I have tons of friends who have graduated from there or will be graduating. They all love it and my one friend who is about to graduate from their BSN program (not the RN to BSN but same school same education) always got such cool clinical experiences that I personal have not gotten at the Tech I am at. It is great school with a great reputation, I highly recommend it and I definitely think it is worth the money!
