Thanks bp2244, I'll keep that in mind. I'm hoping it won't come to that. *** ***** said she had almost a thousand applications to sort through, so perhaps it's somewhere among them. There were two ladies that I handed it to, I know one of them is the assistant dean who was there the day of their open house. They both seemed really nice, and said they would put it on *** *****'s desk. Well, I'll just have to call back tomorrow and see.

I'm hoping and praying for all of you to get into the program! I've been reading these posts since they started and I'm on pins and needles for all of you. Keep updating please.

hey everyone.

sorry for the late reply! i've been busy with school work and everything lately.

a lot of people seemed to have asked me the famous question of what i got on my NLN. to be honest, i still don't know. i took the exam during the end of march, and i've been waiting anxiously everyday for NLN to send the score. i didn't take the NLN at PBINS though. i took it somewhere else. i believe PBINS recieved everything that i sent them sometime of the beginning of april because i gave them a call and they told me they finally recieved everything and then i recieved a call from them about a week ago.

right now my interview is tomorrow. i'm so nervous that i'm worrying over stupid things. like.. whether my interview is actually tomorrow or not. haha. when i got the phone call from them, i was actually out on the streets so i couldn't really hear them correctly where to go for the interview. they said they sent me an email but i never recieved anything. so to be on the safe side, the interview IS at

776 Avenue of the Americas, 4th Fl. New York, NY 10001-6354

right?

and.. i read that some of you had interviews that lasted for as long as two hrs!? oh my goodness..

but.. thank you for everyone's advice though. i greatly appreciate it!

bp2244, Thank you for asking. I am not a nurse but my daughter has been accepted into the BSN program at Virginia Commonwealth University as a freshman. Only 20 were accepted as freshman and then the university will add 40 more sophomores next year. I am a middle school math teacher with a Master's degree in Computer Science and I volunteer at a hospital. I'm a "Pink Lady" although our smocks are blue.

I find these threads interesting and I do honestly pray for those that are trying so hard to get into a nursing program. I know it is only by the Grace of God that my daughter got in. She's been is a stellar student in high school (she graduates in a few weeks), taking several AP classes, in Latin V, AP calculus and the list goes on and on but there were over 2,000 applicants for the 20 slots and she got in! So I am convinced that it was by God's grace that the door was opened for her. That is why I pray for those of you in this thread. That is my story. :-)

Hi Jenny! Yes its there.. if you're gonna take the subway go take a V or an F train and get off at 23rd St. then walk towards 26th st and beth israel is on the right side beside a starbucks.

That was me with the two hour interview.. I dont know how it lasted that long but yea lol. But its a nice experience, its almost as if you're just chatting with them as they try to get to know you.

Jennyy329 - you must have done well on your NLN. Do you mind if I ask which program you are going for? traditional, alternative, or 3-yr? Good luck on your interview. I'm sure you will do just fine.

ceedee123 - which program are you going for? Did you also say that you didn't know your NLN scores?

cathylady - thanks for the info.

I had my interview back in the middle of April. It didn't go as smooth as I had wished it to be, and I am still awaiting some sort of notice from them.

Just curious if any of you know an intro. to chemistry course or a general chemistry course i can take online this summer. I never took chemistry in hs or collge and BI told me i need to take it b4 coming into the program.

I went to their open house this year and someone there mentioned a website that provides online study at your own pace for high school courses. The Dean said that it was ok too.

BI requires science or chem from high school or college.

Here's the link:

http://shop.pennfoster.com/c-36-science.aspx

They offer both biology and chemistry and it would be considered high school courses. - So it would satisfy BI's requirement for entry.

-Hope this helps.

I just spoke with ** ***** who informed me that my file is being looked at by the committee. The committe is meeting on monday the 11th, to decide on accepting past interviewees and to decide who they will call next for interviews.

I guess that means we are going to have to do some serious praying during the next couple of weeks.

Good Luck everyone.......
