If you're not, then now's a great time to get started.

I'm sorry, I just don't get twitter. I really don't want to be in someone else's head for their every thought or boring (at least to me) stream of consciousness. Like I said, I just don't get it.

I don't get it either. I just can't imagine my life is so exciting that people would want to follow my thoughts or that I would need to keep posting them. Posting them now and again on FB for friends and family is plenty for me LOL. Guess I am to old for twitter :p

What exactly IS twitter? Is it like facebook? Can someone be specific about it...and compare it to facebook(if it's similar). Thanks!

The best way I can describe it is a cross between Facebook and Instant Messaging. Some folks post interesting/entertaining/helpful stuff--others merely drivel. you can select who you follow/what input you get. It takes a little getting used to at first, but is a great lesson in brevity. All posts have to be no more than 140 characters. Many folks have their twitter posts go directly to their Facebook pages. Hope this is helpful. Does anybody else out there Twitter? @FunnyNurse.

Can you explain the way twitter works? It just looks like random things. What am I missing?

thanks; your feedback was helpful! i'm just behind the times--only recently found this "facebook" thing, have no idea what the ipod does except it has something to do with music, no idea of how the "palm pilot" works and now there's a new thing called kindle!!!!!

I enjoy Facebook and Myspace, well not myscace so much anymore but it enables me to keep in touch with many people I wouldn't have been able to keep in touch with before, I have had tons of JHS and HS friends find me on there that I lost touch with because I moved so much.

So I do enjoy those but I just couldn't get in the hang of twitter. I signed up and did it a few times and just couldn't commit. LOL

I'm still trying to understand and get into Twitter, but I will definitely check yours out, OP!

Thanks for posting the list! I'll follow a few and see how I like them. I usually drop the vast majority of people because I find their tweets so incredibly booooring.
