I'm in my first semester of prereqs and trying to decide that to do.
My original plan was AAS-RN, then decide if I even wanted to get my BSN.
I've decided that I want to specialize in pediatric hemotology. Here in Denver, CO, the Children's Hospital Network has a new graduate nurse residency program. The problem is that in order to apply, I would have to get my BSN without getting my associates first.
I can't decide if it's worth it to spend the money on the two extra years of school right away. I'm also not fresh out of high school, so time is of the essence...
Thoughts?

It's hard to find a job as an ADN right now (new or experienced), go for BSN!

BSN all the way. Wasting time with an ASN is pointless in 2012 especially since your plan is to eventually continue. If time is of the essence you wouldn't want to be disappointed by getting an ASN and not being able to find a job.
Best of luck!
