Have you tried looking in the international nursing forum?

What do you want to study with a student visa? The intent of a student visa is that the applicant is coming to the US for a finite period of time to attend school, has the financial resources to support his or herself, and fully intends to return to their home country once studies are completed.

As far as entry requirements, you would need to contact the international student office of the college/university where you intend to study to determine the academic requirements and how to have your transcript evaluated. But note that the tuition costs for an international student are significantly higher (often 2-3x higher) than the tuition rate for resident students.

In addition, nursing courses generally are not transferrable between US schools regardless if you studied in the US or abroad. Usually only the co-requisite or pre-requisite courses are transferrable (such as statistics anatomy, physiology, chemistry, language, etc.).

International nurses have to apply for a VISA SCREEN via the CGFNS (Commission for Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools) in order to work in the USA. Their website is extremely helpful. www.cgfns.org.

Best of Luck!:)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand this is moved to the International Nursing area. :)

Hi My name is RAJ Indian working in USA as a lab tech, planning to study 4 yr B.Sc Nursing in india in 2013, cos its more cheaper.

In your case i think B.Sc Nursing is consideres equally cos i have too many international nurses working with me.

only thing is you need to apply for CGFNS and pass NCLEX and visa screen process.

But in your case i think right now its too difficult to come and work in USA because the GOVERNMENT of USA stopped recruiting international nurses since 2006 which is true because after i came into USA after 5 months they closed the doors, I have my friends working in Saudi Arabia wanted to come, they couldnt come.
