Best nursing agencies in California?

I've recently relocated to the Los Angeles area and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend good agencies to work for? I'm currently working for an agency/registry and I feel as if I'm being ripped off. Actually, I know I'm being ripped off! I'm currently doing a 3 month contract at a government facility and I'm only being paid $35/hr with no benefits through the agency I work for. Compared to where I relocated from $35/hr is great but the cost of living out here is crazy. I can't even pay my bills on $35/hr. I'm also considering home health. Also, do staff nurses make more than agency nurses? If so, maybe I should start looking for a staff nurse position.

If anyone can recommend an agency, please let me know what kind of work you did for them and what your pay rate was.

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

I know you're looking for suggestions but I don't feel it's right posting them in an open thread. PM me and I'll tell you the ones I have found that pay the most.

Thanks for responding. I have not figured out how to PM, will someone let me know how to send private messages? Anyone with advice on my original question feel free to PM me if you don't want to discuss this in an open thread. Thanks.
