An excerpt from another forum...I guess there just so many interpretation"There are 150,000 recaptured visa numbers (not including this years' quota). Of those 150K, 50,000 are exempted only for nurses, of the remaining 100K, they go to all occupations including nurses (not including this year's quota). Meaning that nurses will not only have 50,000 visas but also a part of the 100,000 recaptured visas. Isn't it a very good news???
This is according to the immigration lawyer handling my papers."

So what do you mean when you say "This is according to the immigration lawyer handling my papers" ???

Maybe you should try to change the manner of your inquiry to NVC . BE specific of you want to know about your immigrant petition. I have different replies to the inquiries i made. FYI... NVC started processing our immigrant petitions according to priority dates ahead of time before the sched A becomes current.
hi! my case was completed December 21, 2004. When I called up NVC during that time, I was told to wait for 8 wks to receive something.... up to now I have not received anything yet. btw, my priority date is April 14, 2004. When I asked my immigration lawyer, he told me to wait approximately 2-3 months, then I will be interviewed by the US embassy Manila. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed...

Shaider, I tried a different inquiry. This is what i got. The portion stating that "we are waiting for the availability of numbers" were not included anymore. Maybe this is somewhat a good development. :chuckle
"Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).
All of the documentation has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, you will be notified".

Try sending an email inquiry and please share NVC's message. :)

Hello everyone!
May I know if there's anyone out there with 2004 PD received an appointment letter?
They said if you received a letter for preliminary interview it means your documents are not documentarily qualified but if you received a letter with medical and consul appointment it means you are documentarily qualified. Any cooments about it?

Where did you get this info?
You'll know that you are documentarily qualified when NVC tell you so. The appointment letter is for facilitating and screening the documents required. If you are not documentarily qualified in the first place, your papers will not be forwarded for consular processing.
Have you tried sending an email or calling the NVC again? Is the 8 weeks message still there? Had a different message already when I inquired about my case... they are just waiting for an interview schedule... :)

You know what, this is the only site where almost all who are posting topics related and are specific to EB3 schedule A cases. If you will check around other forums, what they are discussing are mostly EB3 technical cases. No wonder why people from other post are so much affected by the July bulletin and there is an ambiance of serenity and fullfillment for those people posting on this site even though we still have a lot of questions and are waiting for our consular interviews.
Just try to look around other forum, you will feel that you are more blessed and fortunate.
But then again, we should also pray for those cases who got affected by the EB3 unavailability. :)
