as the regular readers of allnurses.com know, this thread can be connsidered as the continuation of the thread "worst news for rns from india, phili..." (click here to view that thread : https://allnurses.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87149). worst news thread was started when darkness and gloom hit intl. nurse community when dos announced (dec 11 2004) the retrogression for nurse immigration from these 3 countries.

Welcome to Allnurses. :balloons:
Whether or not you get an appt in July will depend on the US Embassy office there and how many are waiting with dates before you. Remember that there are only so many appointment slots set up for each week.
Immigration may have added more staff to handle processing, but the Embassy offices still have the same staffing. :)
hi what is the source of your info bye
Hi Kid80 I regularly checked I nterview schedules even when there was retrogression. It just was kinda mental relief I guess.
u see actually for interviews to be held in June the schedule was put on may 13/14th.
Initially there were 25 pages.
Then on May 25th there was this new schedule which had 27 pages and the title read Updated schedule for June interviews.
So I would like to believe that this month also they come up with an updated schedule which will lighten up lives of so many in this forum.
I guess thats what u wanted to know.
Also ur observation about those working days which might have been set aside for nurses feels even greater!
Let light prevail!!:)
hi there!!! im just wondering if ill be interviewed this july. my priority date is nov 2003. my case has been approved already... and my agency told me that my papers are still at the nvc. but they also said maybe by this time its in the embassy already.. os there a way to find out wheres my papers now.?? is it possible to migrate this year??? i passed all the exams already.. including the nclex. thanks.. manila phil.
BECAUSE cases filed in july 2004 in vermont arev in us embassies abroad ie delhi by feb 2005 /nclex is NOT the vital but instead VISA SCREEN good luck(u are extremrly talented dont feel let down u have passed nclex we vhavent even seen it)good bless DONT WORRY ALL OF US WILL BE THRU(now instad of pds the order in which cases reach embassies is imp and vital )DONT WORRY THE VISAS WILL NOT FINISH FOR 3 YEARS and then again they will have to work out something UNLESS THEY want to send their patients to india philli or china(REMEMBER WE ARE THE LEADERS IN RN PRODUCTION the quality wanted by states RELAX and be PATIENT GOD BLESS ME AND ALL OF U
I called NVC today and I got a response "your case was completed last May 16, 2005, please allow 8 weeks to receive further instruction. If it has been 8 weeks and you did not receive anything, please press 0 to talk to an operator". Did not presses zero because there will be no operator that can attend to you. :chuckle
Anybody who is in the same shoes? I hope they are forwarding my documents to manila consulate! Any guess?

Dhel, The best way to inquire on the matter is to email NVC .([email protected]) All you have to do is to put on the upper right most of the letter are your case number, employer's name and your name. Then write on the subject is your case number. At the body of your letter, state your inquiries .You will receive from them an automatic reply informing you that your inquiry will be answered with in the next 2-3 working days.

Shaider, I tried this already for the 3rd time. What they have is a template of answers, they will just cut and paste even if you have a different question.
The case is documentarily qualified. Im just guessing what's the 8 weeks are for? :uhoh21:
ALREAD SCREENED ,interviewed ,documents screened, talent verified by 2 international exams etc (cgfns and ielts ) both times id verfied .face to face interviews with companies SO THE PROCESS CAN BE FASTER 9sponsored by agencies /companies etcGODD LUCK AND GOD BLESS ME
It usually is not faster when done by an agency. They have no influence over what immigration does, and if they tell you otherwise, they are wrong.
With a Visa Screen Certificate in hand, it is actually faster to go it alone, provided you have the funds for immigration.
How about if your done with the Packet4 (interview & medical) and your visa was just delayed because of retrogression, where do you need to call/follow-up? NVC or the embassy? If my preference category is E3 (nurse), am I belong to Schedule A?
hi just wait for the embassy to contact u god bless U ARE in schedule A DONT WORRY (allnurses are)
