Hiya the best review is on a CD-ROM called: Saunders Computerized Review for Nclex-RN by Linda Anne Silvestri.Version 2.0(2002)(there may be an updated version now I'm not sure!!) I used this and practiced every other day(when possible) and on the plane to the USA and Night before the NCLEX Exam:uhoh3:

The Saunder's books come with a review CD. Plan on doing at least 3000-4000 questions before sitting for the exam.

When are you planning on writing the exam, and for which state?

Suzanne, Since you are an instructor, I have a question. I am taking my OB final & OB HESI this Tue. & Wed., I have been using Saunders & Lippincott for practice. I have been getting anywhere from 90-100% on the practice tests. Do you think this is a good indicator of how I might do on my tests?? I am a little nervous & tend to get anxious when I take a test. I have also studied my notes & textbook. Thank you, CRB

You should do just fine...............besides knowing the material, there is a strategy for paaing the NCLEX exam................

Good luck on your exam.............. :)

Thanks to all of you... I was really happy to hear your advises. I got the Saunders 2005, I also have a Kaplan book and Mosby. Do you think that I should just consider Saunders? Thanks.

It won't hurt to do a lot of practice tests. I personally think that kaplan's practice tests are VERY similar to the real NCLEX. When I reviewed for NCLEX, I did kaplan on-line review + Lippioncott's 5000 practice book. I passed the first time with 140 questions. I know some people don't like kaplan, but I really liked it and thought it was very helpful. I didn't do Saunders before but I flipped through the book at the library and it looks very organized and easy to read. Since Suzanne4 highly recommends it, it shoud be a good choice!Good luck!

I used saunders (2 books) w/ CDs and kaplan CD i got in front of PRC. You know what I mean by that.

Practice practice practice those tests and aim for 76% consistantly, as I have been told that if you are around that score you rarely ever fail.

I recommend (wish they paid for recommendation :chuckle ) NCSBN http://www.learningext.com

Hello everyone I just woulfd like to thank for this free memebreship here to allnurses.com because I can be able to see and learn more about the things I need as a registered nurse here in my country. I am actually looking for the best reviewer for nclex for me to be able to review and maybe tke the exam soon.

Blair:balloons:

For a foreign trained nurse, I especially only recommend the Saunder's Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN. Books are more expensive overseas, etc., and this one will cover everything for you. You can use the book first as an excellent reviewer and resource, then go onto answering questions. I always recommend that you answer at least 3000 to 4000 questions before taking the exam.
