HEY ALL!
Would really appreciate input about the best review to practice for the NCLEX.
NCBSN
HURST
KAPLAN
EXAM CRAM
I have also bought that PDA book by Lacharity since people are swearing by it.
I am between HURST AND NCBSN. Since I read that those two tend to be the most similar style questions to the test.
Thank you so much in advanced! :)

Ncsbn is the closest in my book. I did the 3 week course and it's only $50... I only used it for questions of course because it has over 2000 questions! Since they are the actual makers of the Nclex. :) I used that and the PDA... I passed with 75 questions and didn't think it was hard at all!

My school required we take the Kaplan 2 week course. I found it to be very similiar in question structure, etc.

I will always swear by the pda book. I used that kaplan and saunders and hurst. Hurst and kaplan were REQUIRED by my school. Saunders and pda I pursued on my own. Kaolan has great question. Hurst questions are good as well. Saunders questions were a lot less challenging than the other two but excellent rationales and pda stand in a category on its own. I took my test nclex rn today. 75 questions. And got home and got the good pop up...... im praying the trick is true and I passed. But good luck to you. U will be fine.
Congrats s.davis.RN and mso819!!!!
Hm, interesting, I feel like NCBSN is the best bang for you buck considering how cheap it is in comparison to the other review companies.
I have Saunders and I use it to practice for nursing exams now, the questions are real simple to me but I am not sure what that indicates in comparison to the NCLEX.
I don't take it till next year but I want to start getting myself ready lol my goal is also to pass at 75 questions.
Thanks for the input!

Hello i am in desperate need to pass nclex i have failed it 3 times already i do have severe anxiety and was out of there in an hour in october i did take hurst did you feel like hurst helped u i hired a tutor too i do not kno what else to do
Hurst is dead on with knowing your core content. Master that! Use pda and know your lab valUes. .. not just the number but the signs and symptoms of hyper/hypo and what to do. Please do yourself a favor and do HUrst.
Hey dori1987
I can't imagine how much pressure you must be under right now. As hard as it may seem try to take a deep breath and believe you will pass this time! A lot of it is about believing and go with your gut feeling with all the questions. Do not let your anxiety get the best of you!

That link I posted has a study guide on it in which so many people says it works.
PDA by lacharity and hurst, kaplan, and NCBSN really helps people the most.
Kaplan I have read looks extremely similar to the actual NCLEX example.
HURST is good for content review.
NCBSN is made by the actual people who make the NCLEX and is similar to the exam.
These are recommendations from what I have consistently read on all of these forums.
Good luck! I hope this helps.
Thank you so much I took kaplan while in nursing school. In october I did hurst review I completed all of the q review in hurst. I did NCBSN in the past but thinking to do it again as I felt like I rushed through it i also hired a tutor right now. I really need to pass this test this time. I did PDA as well but did not go through the rationales thoroughly I feel like I am lost on what to do. I am also doing hypnosis for anxiety I know it sounds crazy but my anxiety is so bad I just want to pass this exam more than anything.

I used Kaplan and Saunders book. Both were really great I loved the rationales and test taking strategies for saunders. But I love the on the go access of kaplan. I did over 2500 questions to prepare. I watched about 20 hours of the lectures from kaplans on the go and did practice test 1-6 scoring in the 58%-64% range on them.
Good luck everyone who is taking it. Take your time on each question go with your first instinct and take a deep breathe between each question.
