Best College for LPN to RN(ADN)

Published

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking into getting my RN and possibly BSN. I need recommendations on good schools in the St. Louis and surrounding areas. Any comments/recent grads from Jefferson Community College in Hillsboro or Sanford Brown in St. Peters? I would love to hear any and all input!

Thanks,

Kate

You didn't mention it, but I heard SLCC is starting their program back up, to rotate between meramec, FP, and FV, one program starting each semester.

A number of LVNs joined our class @ Meramec during our 3rd semester, so it's apparently being done. They have been welcome additions.

I believe it's dependent on where they can fill in spaces with classes that have lost students over the previous 2 semesters, but I'm not sure.

Your best bet will be to call the campuses directly; I would perhaps call one of the Admissions Contacts listed for one of the campuses to start. Here's the website:

I would be wary of Sanford Brown. They're expensive and there's been quite some controversy about them on this forum (you can do a search for Sanford Brown). At least one student in our class was very unhappy with their experience there for the LVN.

Good luck!!
