Hi Everyone
I'm currently working on my BSN and I'm wondering which duty station is best for AF nursing? Are they all about the same? I've very interested in Hawaii, but all I know about is Tripler and that's Army...
What was your favorite and why?
Happy New Year!

Don't count on Travis AFB in California. David Grant is down to about 20 beds due to deployments. Constantly calling our facility for beds. It also depends what kind of experience you want. I can't remember the name of the base, but the AF has a large level 1 trauma center in Texas that also serves the community and the AF folks. Would be a good place to start for some solid experience.

If you plan on joining the military you should count on this one thing: The needs of the service come FIRST.
So, while you may have the opportunity to be stationed at a place you want to be - you also may get sent to some place you've never heard of because thats where they need you.
If you're not prepared or willing to be sent to any place, at any time the military needs you then you might want to reconsider joining.
Climbing off my soapbox now :) I don't have a "favorite" AF hospital, but would like to say that the several I've had experience with were nice.
