I'm a relatively new nurse, but i do my best to be observant and to contribute as well as I can.
One thing I've been wondering lately is how do you balance between wanting to help improve flaws in processes your organization, without becoming an outcast or getting a bad reputation?
It's not secret that people generally don't like change, so I'm relatively hesitant about opening my mouth about anything.
I'd imagine that at almost every organization (not just nursing) there are many people who have no problem complaining about how stupid something (either the way management handles something, or a mandatory task, process, etc) and nothing never happens to change it.
So how do you become a driving force to improve the system around you, without getting crushed ?
