Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing - FastBacc 2019

Published

Hey is anyone applying for the May 2019 Fast Bacc at Baylor?

I'm taking the Hesi soon and the TEAS, for other programs I'm looking at. Just wanted to see who's all looking at applying.

Best of Luck to Everyone!

I am! Just took the HESI today :)

I take the Hesi in the next couple of weeks. Are you applying before Aug 15?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking of applying but haven't taken the HESI yet. How did you guys study for the exam?

Good luck!

I've studied a few ways..

5-7 math problems a night from varied sources

I bought a study guide and pulled those questions into a quizlet database

Got a few practice exams and working 10 or so questions from the sections I struggle in

Also I'm in micro and chem right now so I count that as studying as well.

Best of Luck! I take the exam August 1.

Just bought the study guide for the exam and plan to apply in November!

Does anyone happen to know the exact day the program begins? I'll be in prereq classes until the 25th of May and I'm nervous the program begins before they're complete

I'm not sure of the exact day but I believe it's sometime mid-May? I highly recommend emailing the advisors. I emailed the advisor and they are very helpful about looking over your transcripts and making sure you're eligible to apply!

This is an excerpt from the email the advisor sent me. Hopefully it will help you!

Thanks!! I've been in contact with Elaine and will ask her for more details.. I also know that some professors let their students take their finals early so crossing my fingers that my spring semester I'll be able to do that!

Hey everyone! I have decided not to apply to Baylor because I did well on my TEAS for another school.

Good luck to everyone and I hope all of you guys get in!!

I took the HESI in early July and have my interview with Baylor tomorrow! Has anyone else applied yet?

How did your interview go? I have mine next week- what kind of questions do they ask?

Specializes in MICU.

The interview was really relaxed, but a couple of questions you might want to be ready for is:

How do you handle conflict? (Have an example)

Why do you want to be a nurse?

What made you look at or choose to apply to our program?

Other than those it was pretty easy conversation. Good luck!
