Bet that won't happen again.  Natural consequences are the best lessons.

Nope, every year they come up with something different...last year it was a Taki eating contest with pretty much the same results 🤣

Taki puke, looked like nuclear waste.  I remember the first time I saw that, kid ate 2 big bags and couldnt understand why his stomach hurt!!!

Or the kid who was snorting fun dip and came into my office with a head ache.  Interestingly, had a very fruity odor about him.  I finally got him to tell me what happened.  When I told him I was calling mom he yelled , " For the love of God dont call my Mom!!!"

You just cant make this stuff up.  School nursing is an adventure ❤️

What is it with bananas? I had a sixth grader come in after eating too many bananas

S: I ate 5 bananas fast

Me: why?

S: I really like bananas, but now my stomach hurts.

me: ok, i'm sure it does. You'll live. go to class.

I got a look and he went back to class. The teacher called asking my why I sent him to class. I explained the situation and she was fine with him staying in class with a trash can next to his desk.

Maybe he thought he was low on potassium. 🤣

I get a lot of takis stomachaches. They usually learn their lesson, though. Haha. When I ask them what they ate, I love seeing the light bulb go on in their reaction as they smile and laugh a little. Almost always get the same look as they say "takis".
