Bad start to new assignment and company!!

I accepted a new assignment with a new company in Bremerton WA.

When I arrived at the apt complex the apt number I was given was actually the rental office and I was informed that the application for the apt by my new company had been DENIED!!!!

I could NOT believe it. I called my recruiter and he made some calls and after an hour or so I was told things had been taken care of and the apt was available and the furniture would be delivered shortly.

So my husband and I went back and went to the apt with no furniture and waited and waited. I called the company and left a message asking about my furniture they finally called back after 12 HOURS. We slept on the floor because my husband was too cheap to get a motel!!!!

Well we got the furniture this afternoon but the couch was too big and they couldn't get it through the door! So we went and pick out another couch and it was supposed to be delivered but wasn't.

While waiting for the apt I got a call from my new manager asking if I was coming to work for her as she had not heard anything!!!!!!!!

I told her I was going to be there next week.

Needless to say I am really wondering about this company......

I left a message for my recruiter... we will see what he says on Tues.

Of course this happens on a Friday of a long holiday weekend!!

Good grief! What's your company? Remind me to stay away from them....

completely unacceptable. I would have definitely gotten a hotel for that first night and had the company reimburse me.

The company is National Healthcare Staffing, which used to be Vita.

Today is my first day at the hosp so hopefully things will get better.
