Back pain levoscoliosis.

So I had covid and was off 4 months due to new tremors. I did wake up off and on with upper back pain but would warm back and have husband crack my back then be fine for days. Now I have returned to work in LTC/skilled. I wake up everyday with excruciating upper back pain unable to get up out of bed on my own. I take hot shower then get back cracked by husband a few times and I can move on my own again for the day. It also hurts my back to take a deep breath. At 14 I was diagnosed with levoscoliosis and had mri to make sure my spine was not pressing on vital organs heart/lungs. No treatment or surgery for the scoliosis was necessary back then. No one has done imaging on my back since. I called my neurologist who treats my tremor and they just gave me muscle relaxers and referral for physical therapy which I start tomorrow.  They didn't even have me come in or anything. They also told me insurance wouldn't cover imaging of spine unless I do physical therapy first to see if it helps the pain. The muscle relaxers do help to a degree. I only take one before bed because they knock me out hard. Anyone else have levoscoliosis and have it get worse after working as a nurse lifting, turning, and holding patients?

Go to a good PT with experience in spine issues. Not all PTs are the same— some do kids, or sports injuries, or strokes; you want a spine expert. At very least, if there’s a limited choice of facilities where you live, ask to book appts with a therapist like that.
Then do your PT and ask the therapist which doctor’s patients seem to do well managing levoscoliosis. Then make your plan.
Good luck!

Physiotherapy is a good choice. Most commonly a pulled muscle or ligament sprain is the cause of back pain.  Next time do physical therapy techniques and exercises to increase flexibility which helps a lot in back pain. Practice 3-4 exercises and avoid concentrating on the core muscles in the beginning. In the beginning, you may feel some difficulties but eventually, you will feel relaxed

It's been 3 months I still wake up in pain but now it's mostly in my left rib cage when I breath deeply or breath out deeply.  They did x ray which shows the levoscoliosis but nothing wrong with my lungs which is good.  Ordered more muscle relaxers and pretty much told to live with it. I'm doing my at home exercises. Finished physical therapy.  Not much else to do from here.
