I was wondering if anybody has signed up with AVANT HEALTHCARE PROFFESIONALS, a USA based agency for NURSES and PTs, which currently sponsors NCLEX-passers. Any updates with your application?
I have started this thread thinking we could update on the process that you are undergoing since US visa bulletin is fast moving.
For those who signed up with AVANT, please. Share your experience with them here.
Thank you!
Many thanks to IRIS review center for helping me reach my desired band score. I am very grateful about the quality of review and service I have experienced from this review center.
Thanks to them, I was able to pass the exam in one take with flying colors! kudos to this company. I highly recommend IRIS review center for those who want to take eilts exam.
I got the initial approval on my petition April 6.Because it's expected that the NVC will receive my case in 4-8 weeks, I was asked to provide Avant with my civil documents (birth certificate, police record and passport biographic data page) within 3 weeks. Because the police record from my country is valid for only 3 months - and the same original document needs to be brought to the embassy interview -, we extended ordering the document until 4 weeks. I just ordered the documents and they will delivered to me within 1 week.
Besides just scanning and sending these documents to Avant, I'll need to upload them on the NVC's Immigrant Visa Application DS-260, which I will fill out online after the immigrant visa bill of $345 has been paid.
After that I'll wait for final processing before scheduling the exit interview at my local embassy and having my immigrant visa approved - hopefully! Once I know of the approval, Avant will present me with job offers. They asked me to send them my updated résumé and I have a placement assessment call scheduled in a couple of weeks where we'll go over the résumé and talk about my routine day in nursing. This will help them find the best employer for me.
They said I could be moving to the US as early as July but we'll see if it'll be more towards the end of the estimate, i.e. September. Either way, now everything seems to be happening all of a sudden and I feel absolutely excited!
Hi SpidersWeb.
How far are you in the process now? I am interested in knowing the time lines between approval and NVC notification and then between the notification to fee bill payment and so on. Thanks for information.

I'm still waiting to get an update from the NVC. Recent trends show 8-10 weeks but for me it's only been 7 weeks now since my case was sent from the USCIS to the NVC. I'll let you know when I get the email.
Simple answer am not an Avant nurse but from extensive research Avant has work in 38 states and like any other agencies the posts are dynamic you have new hospitals tenders, you have old avant nurses finishing their contracts and choosing to leave the places assigned leading to Avant filling the place with new nurses. Overrall there is a national shortage so you could be going anywhere infact l have seen a batch of nurses doing the 6 week programme and each nurse going to a different state after their intro program in Florida. Its a lottery write down 38 states put them in a bowl and pick one thats how it works .
I got nvc fee bill 11 weeks post i140 Approval,Avant has also paid for my immigrant visa, waiting for NVC to procees payment.Gradually making progress.
Congratulations!
I received my fee bill after 12 weeks, and currently I'm waiting for my exit interview!
We might be able to meet in Orlando
Hi, question to all AVANT nurses. Where in the US usually are you being deployed? What state? Thank you...
I've seen Illinois, Virginia, Wisconsin, Montana, one or both of the Dakotas and the Carolinas, Pennsylvania and Maine. These are the ones I can remember off the top of my head.
Simkale mentioned 38 states but at some point it was (or still is?) 43, I'm not sure. All I know is that from my perspective the locations seem pretty random. From Avant's and each individual's perspective perhaps not so much.
You get to state your preferred state to the company and they will consider this when they present you with job offers after the exit interview. They'll give you a couple of options to choose from and to interview for. At this point you kind of get to have a say where you'll end up. Bear in mind that some specialties, like NICU, have limited availability, and for greater variety of locations and overall some nurses might have to accept a med-surg position.
