Hello AL Family,
I was wondering if anyone in California has been found eligible to take the NCLEX-RN Exam and has also paid the $200 to Pearson Vue and still HAS NOT received their Authorization To Test? Well, I've been found eligible as of 10/3 to take the exam and was notified by paper U.S. Mail. I also paid the $200 fee to Pearson and HAVE NOT received my ATT. The California change to the new breEZe system has caused me nothing but a headache. I was told my the BRN that my electronic file was lost in transmission to Pearson Vue and that the BRN is working on such issues to fix it (whatever that means). They said that it could take a couple of days to a few weeks!
I've never, ever heard of such nonsense. Any one else going through problems? Ugh
Anyone?

did you pay the registration fee with the BRN ? you have to pay both pearson and the brn to test. if you did i'd just follow up and see how things are going. We're all stuck with this system update, a few of us on here myself included tested on the 3rd with the good pop-up and are still waiting for our license's. Missing out on employment opportunities.

I was in a similar situation as you in that my authorization was lost in translation from brn to pearson. If you received your eligibility letter from BRN then you certainly should have received the att from Pearson. You have now been put into a flag folder at pearson and need to be put through manually. I was put in flag folder because BRN accidentally forgot the ".com" in my e-mail address and it didn't 100% match my proper email address so Pearson flagged it. Rediculous, but this whole RN thing hasn't been easy!
Here's what you need to do:
-Call the BRN and ask to speak with the liazon for pearson ((his name is ***** and he is very sweet)
-Tell him to check the flagged file for your att
-He will email the person at pearson who is able to manually pull it out and send it through
-Be very nice, you need them!
Once all of these things were done I received my att in about 4 hours
Good luck!

It takes time for the California BRN to see your application. If you sent in your check about 2 weeks ago, check to see if your check was cashed. From the date of when your check was cashed that can help give you some indication of a timeline.
The first time I applied to take the NCLEX, it took 4-5 weeks for my check to be cashed. Then it took another 4-6 weeks after the check was cashed for me to get my ATT number. Since my last name was in the second half of the alphabet, I got my ATT number later than my classmates who were in the first half of the alphabet. They do things based on last name in that they have the same number of application reviewers for letter of the alphabet. I'm guessing at this time there were much more applications of people in the second half of the alphabet so my classmates whose last name were in the first half of the alphabet got their ATT 1 month before I did. From the time I sent in my check and application to the CA BRN, it took 2 1/2 months for me to get my ATT number.
However the second time I applied to take the NCLEX which was this past August, it took about 2 weeks for my check to get cashed. And then it took 1 week after my check was cashed for me to get my ATT number. From the time I sent in my check and application to the CA BRN, it took about 3 weeks for me to get my ATT number.

You're welcome. I hope that the info is able to help you. I also have the liazon's direct # so that you don't have to wait forever to get thru to him. I'd be more than happy to share it with you if you need it. Just inbox me if you do :)
I really hate the CA BRN right now. The new breEZe system has caused nothing but a headache. I still haven't recieved ATT
